Job 33:4:

The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

Hello and Welcome!

Sharing my Son with you  seems to have brought so many people to me to share and for support. And what a blessing that is to me.  I know my life has changed  and I will never be the person I was before the loss of my son. But with the grace of God and the heart of Dustin I will be a better person. I will continue to share poems stories pictures what ever I have with everyone. So many poems I read bring peace and understanding to me. I know as a mom the hole in my heart will never be filled but will mend with the continuous letters and support all has given me. Dustin had the biggest heart of anyone I know and his nature was to help everyone. Even when he was younger he always shared and would not take the last of anything. He always fought for the under dog and everything he did was with his whole heart.  I always thought of him with alot of pride and joy and a heart of gold. Now many added thoughts come to me when I think of Dustin a free spirit as the butterfly, beauty as in the rose and the mystery of the clouds. So when you look at the memory pages I have I hope you can feel the love that was put in every page. That maybe some comfort will be brought to you.  Love to all! Patti Rawls

Please Read Yes It Can Happen To You Page! (Link Below)Tell your friends and family. You may just save someone from making that one WRONG CHOICE! that will change a life forever. As Dustin he will always be forever  25  years old  a young man full of life taken to soon. And a mom with a broken heart!

Butterflies, the symbol of new life and rebirth are fluttering all around me.
They circle my head, land on my arms and dance around my feet. I've never seen so many butterflies.....
never seen so many kinds.

Delicate wings...colors like sky and grass and the earth.
Their flight is a motion of freedom and calmness and is so beautiful to see. Please let death be a butterfly with our loved ones soaring in an existence that is too wonderful for us to comprehend

A Butterfly Hovers Closely

A butterfly hovers closely

And then quickly moves away,

Swiftly going where so ever

Her heart may freely say.

A butterfly lowers and rises

With the wind's gusty breath,

As if coupled within a dance

Of a loving tenderness.

The butterfly only knows

How it feels to have wings,

To kiss the petals of flowers

In such elegant flitterings.

To have but one moment

Of such an exquisite flight,

Would be like a dream

Where all seems so right.

His Butterflies

Too many heartaches to fathom

And roads too rocky to tell

But God reaches out to be our friend

and bids us rest a spell

He sends us a butterfly

A kiss from Him

A message from the sky

We know not when this road will end

There may yet be another bend

But when we cry

He sends us a butterfly

He sees our every struggle

And tears fill up His eyes

You're not alone, you're almost Home

My arms are open wide

He sends us a Butterfly

A kiss from Him

A message from the sky

We know not when this road will end

There may yet be another bend

But when we cry

He sends us a Butterfly.

BUTTERFLY

A butterfly is to the daylight

what a star is to the night

They fill our skies with much beauty

each a wonder of God's delight

But have you ever wondered

what a butterfly is for

Have you ever looked on in awe

as you watched these beauties soar

It is angel's wings that carry them

with a little fairy dust too

All colors of the rainbow,

but what do these creatures do

I know that in my life

they are precious and very dear

They have helped me in my trying times

and have brushed away my tears

My Lord sends to me these butterflies

and each one is my friend

They come from all around the world

and a different message each one lends

Some come and bring a quick hello

as they flutter through my day

Then others sit and chat a while

they have so much to say

Each one of them is different

with a beauty all their own

Leaving butterfly kisses upon my heart

making me feel at home

They say that if you give them a chance,

to you one will come, and this I know

It will gently nestle in your heart

and a friendship soon will grow

And from that special friendship

soon others will flutter your way

Leaving butterfly kisses upon your heart

God's gift to you every day

Butterfly in the Wind

A child is like ........

A butterfly in the wind,

Some can fly higher than others;

but each one flies the best it can.

Why compare on against the other?

Each one is different!

Each one is special!

Each one is beautiful!

Legend of the Butterfly

Once as a child many years ago...

on a balmy summer's eve.

I sat in the yard at my Mother's side...

and a butterfly lit at my sleeve.

"It's a sign of good luck", my Mother said.

As the butterfly stayed at my arm...

"It's a symbol of all the beauty in life.

Make sure you do it no harm."

First butterflies are eggs and after they hatch...

they see that their life's just beginning.

They're content with their lot in life,

so, they go out on a limb and start spinning.

They stay out awhile in a magic cocoon....

then emerge like flowers in spring.

Then they share the story of their victory and success...

through each of the colors of their wings.

The gold in their wings is the

"Golden Rule"...

To follow that is a must.

The blue....That means true blue.

Always be someone people can trust.

The green of the tip of their wing

is saying Stay green, and you'll always grow.

The silver is the lining in the clouds of doubt...

that you must look for as you go through life.

Butterflies bend with the wind, it's true.

Still they get where they want to go.

They arrive by persistence through their own insistence...

A lesson more people should know.

Sought and valued by the whole human race...

For their beauty, tenacity and charm.

If a butterfly ever chances to stay at your sleeve...

remember, my friend, don't fight it, but,

learn all you can from the butterfly clan.

And you too, may become a rare item.

As you release this butterfly in honor of me,
know that I'm with you and will always be.
Hold a hand, say a prayer, close your eyes and see me there.
Although you may feel a bit torn apart,
please know that I'll be forever in your heart.

Now fly away butterfly as high as you can go,
I'm right there with you more than you know.

The Wings of a Butterfly

The Lord sends down His blessings

In little every day miracles

Some so quiet, most do not notice

Yet they are significant in their own way

Like the wings of a butterfly

Carrying it where it needs to go

Quietly, efficiently, beautifully

And with total dedication

Such can be said about God's blessings

Each day He is there

Waiting for you to notice

Wanting you to acknowledge

His miracles can be seen

In the bloom of a flower

In the colors of a sunset

In a baby's response to your smile

His love can be felt

In the sincerity of a hug

In the warmth of the sun

The gentleness of a summer breeze

His voice can be heard

In the sound of joyous laughter

The church bells on the hill

Mothers humming lullabies

His promises will be fulfilled

Awakening in every new dawn

The birth of every new creature

The glory of a rainbow

Stop and look around

Find God in everything you see

Then bow your head in praise

As the butterfly passes by

I Can Only Imagine

I can only imagine what it will be like,

When I walk by Your side

I can only imagine what my eyes will see,

When Your Face is before me!

I can only imagine.  I can only imagine.

Refrain

Surrounded by Your Glory, what will my heart feel?

Will I dance for you, Jesus?  Or in awe of You, be still?

Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?

Will I sing Hallelujah?  Will I be able to speak at all?

I can only imagine!  I can only imagine!

I can only imagine, when that day comes,

When I find myself standing in the Son.

I can only imagine, when all I will do,

Is forever, forever worship You!

I can only imagine!  I can only imagine!

I can only imagine!

I can only imagine!

I can only imagine!

I can only imagine!

I can only imagine,

When all I will do

is forever, forever worship You!

I can only imagine!

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalms 28:7
